The focus of a B-school interview can range from specific questions about your job to broad discussions on life. For most graduates, this is the first serious selection interview they face. A panel of 3-5 interviewers meets the student in a closed room. Normally the interviewers are from different disciplines, most are usually professors at the institute and occasionally behavioral psychologists are involved to observe how you interact. Interviewers usually develop an impression of you in the first few minutes of the meeting, and spend the rest of the interview confirming their initial impression. Lack of preparation is a common complaint among interviewers, and if you are prepared, you will stand out among your competitors.
