Analysis

Overview:

NMAT 2010 was conducted in a window of three months beginning from 1st October till 31st December, 2010. The paper was the usual one, with same no. of questions as the last years. A CBT test however makes it a bit difficult and time taking also. However the overall paper can be rated as a moderate one. Expected cut off could be anywhere around 65+ ques with 90% accuracy.

DETAILED ANALYSIS

There were uneven distribution of questions in all the three sections with the highest in DI,DS and Quantitative skills. The section comprises variety like line graph, bar graph, and questions related to maths and data sufficiency. Ideal time to cover this section would be 40 mins. Second section is Language Skills comprising 32 questions covering variety like cloze test, fill in the blanks, para jumbles, RC etc. The third section was logical reasoning, the easiest section among the three and could be cracked in 30 mins.

Two RC with 4 questions each. RC was based on ‘Nuclear Proliferation’ and the other one was on ‘success in life through determination’ (links are given below) The questions were based on inference, central idea, vocabulary etc.
